ITINERARY

Savour the soul of Belgium in this four-hour tasting tour that celebrates Antwerp’s culinary heritage and its world-renowned beer culture. Through cobbled lanes and atmospheric squares, we invite you to sit, taste, sip, and fall in love with the flavours that define this vibrant Flemish city.

This tour is more than a meal! It’s a feast for the senses, lovingly curated to offer both the cozy comfort of tradition and the spirited joy of Belgian hospitality.

Your culinary adventure begins with a visit to a charming local restaurant, where you may start with a warming Belgian-style soup, such as creamy tomato soup with meatballs or a delicate leek and potato soup. This simple, heartwarming dish sets the tone for a cosy and flavourful beginning.

Next, indulge in a tasting of Belgium’s iconic moules (mussels), prepared in the traditional style with white wine, herbs, and fragrant vegetables. Alongside, you may sample waterzooi, a classic Flemish speciality traditionally prepared with chicken or fish in a creamy broth – delicate, rustic, and unforgettable!

As you wander through the lively heart of Antwerp, you’ll stop at one of the city’s beloved friteries, where Belgian fries are serious business. Thick, twice-fried, and golden-crisp, they’re served in paper cones with a variety of sauces. From classic mayo to tangy andalouse, you’ll discover why frites are more than just a side – they’re a national passion.

Your next restaurant brings you a traditional plate of stoofvlees, a rich Flemish beef stew slow-cooked in dark beer. The tender beef melts in your mouth, wrapped in deep, malty flavours that reflect the traditions of Flemish cooking.

No Belgian tasting is complete without a visit to the sweet side. You’ll visit a boutique chocolatier for a bite of handmade pralines, followed by freshly baked Belgian waffles, with toppings available according to your preference.

The tour concludes with a guided Belgian beer-tasting experience in a cosy bar. Depending on your preferences and the beers available, you can sample different Belgian styles while learning about the country’s remarkable brewing traditions. From blondes and dubbels to tripels, sour beers and Trappist beers, I will help you discover the extraordinary diversity of Belgian beer.
